Medication Evaluation

Sometimes, patients get prescriptions and take them without really understanding why they are taking them. It is important to review ALL of your medications to make sure we manage your medications safely. With a thorough review of your medications, we can create a treatment plan that is both safe and effective.

Medication Adjustment

Perhaps you have been prescribed medications that you feel are no longer effective. It is possible that you could need a different dose of the medications you are currently taking, or there could be a different medication better suited for your symptoms. Working together, we can ensure you are taking the right amount of medication for your needs. The goal is always to find the best results with the least amount of medication.

Medication Changes

Mental health medication can work well for some people, yet not work at all for others. There is no magic formula to predict exactly what medications and dosages will work for you. Additionally, over time, we may need to slightly adjust or entirely reconfigure each individual medication plan to maximize its effectiveness. It is important to continually re-evaluate each medication for any necessary changes.

Ongoing Management

Routine follow-ups are an essential part of medication management. Working together allows patients to remain actively engaged in their treatment. The goal is to help reduce the stress over taking medications and improve patient satisfaction. A personalized approach to treatment increases the chances for medication efficacy and successful outcomes.

Therapy Referrals

If you are a client of Willow Tree Wellness, it is my goal to provide you with a holistic approach to healing. This may include participating in weekly talk therapy. While medication managers do not typically offer weekly talk therapy sessions, we do work very closely with numerous therapists and counselors to make sure all aspects of your mental health are being evaluated. If you do not have a therapist, and would like one, I will work very hard to help you find one. With a large network of providers, I am sure to find you the right fit.

Telehealth Appointments

Telehealth offers numerous advantages like comfort, convenience, and scheduling flexibility. It also saves you time because there is no commute and no need to sit in a waiting room. Once you are stabilized on medications, follow-ups can take as little as 15 minutes, so people find it to be a better use of time. By using telehealth, you will likely be able to get an appointment faster than having to wait for in-person availability.
